Obituary for Scott Robert Williams
Scott Robert Williams, 50, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Scott was born on November 29, 1966, to the late Robert Leroy & Barbara Ann (Bashaw) Williams in Malone, NY. After graduating high school, Scott moved to Virginia where he was a self-employed professional painter before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs and then transferring to the Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
Scott was a man of many talents. He could build anything; you should see some of his work. At his home, he built a theater room, a deck, a patio and pool house. He was one of the best painters there was. He was often called the “Kamikaze Painter” because of his speed, skill and finesse. Scott also enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, cars, and carpentry.
Scott was united in marriage to Sheila E. Talley-Williams on September 20, 2014 in Fredericksburg. Scott would say he married the woman of his dreams, but if you ask her, she says she married the man of her dreams. “….I have found the one whom my soul loveth.” Songs of Solomon 3:4. They had the perfect marriage. They laughed and prayed together. They both had a special love for animals. At one point in their home, they had six dogs and one cat, and even talked about buying horses, and putting a petting zoo on their property. They had a special kind of bond and their love was unconditional.
Scott will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish memories, his loving wife of 3 years, Sheila Talley-Williams; his loving and caring aunt and Godmother, Robin Marion (Ed); one son, Brandon Williams; one brother, Robert “Bob” Williams (Carol); three sisters, Tammy Butchino (Roy), Misty Legault (Doug), Lisa Vasquez; his mother-in-law, Barbara Jackson McKenney (Lemuel); father-in-law, Phillip Talley; brother-in-law, Elwood Syrkes (Karena); two sisters-in-law, Pancy Nuckols (Tony), and Barnedia Nickerson (Michael). Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Melanie (Larry) White.
Scott is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family as well as his four legged children: Marmaduke, Maci, Miko and Dudley.
